YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN

EMTC's first full-length musical was the classic, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, an endearing show by Clark Gessner that is based on the Charles M. Schulz characters everyone knows and loves. The play's vignettes explore the touching, funny, familiar conflicts and predicaments of the "Peanuts" gang.

Directed by Andrea Lang.

EMTC AND FRIENDS

EMTC returned to Salt Spring State Park on Sept. 2, 2000, once again taking part in the annual Salt Springs Festival of Art and Music.  As in 1999, EMTC's show-stopping contribution to this "Arts in the Park" event incorporated performing artists from the Philadelphia area, along with EMTC's stable of local talent.  (And when we say "stable", we mean it -- in the best "summer stock" tradition, theater at Salt Spring is as likely as not to be staged in a barn!)  Added to the musical revue was a "sneak preview" of a scene from EMTC's upcoming production of Steel Magnolias.

EMTC and Friends directed by Andrea Lang; Steel Magnolias directed by Margaret Jones.

STEEL MAGNOLIAS

This play by Robert Harling takes place in a beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done. Outspoken, wisecracking hairdresser Truvy spends her time dispensing shampoos and advice to her regular

Presented Sept. 15-17, 2000 at the Montrose Theater.
Directed by Margaret Jones.
